Terms of Service

Welcome to Helmet. By using our browser and services, you agree to these terms. We’ve written them to be clear, but they are a binding legal agreement.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Helmet Browser, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must uninstall the application immediately.

2. The 'Browser Firewall' Service

Helmet provides a security layer that intercepts network requests to evaluate threat levels. While we use advanced intelligence feeds and heuristics, you acknowledge that no security tool is 100% effective. Helmet is a 'defense-in-depth' tool and does not guarantee immunity from all malware, phishing, or social engineering attacks.

3. Subscription & Billing

Access to Helmet's premium threat feeds and firewall features requires a valid subscription ($3.00/mo or $39.99/yr plus tax). Billing is handled exclusively through the Mac App Store. We do not have the ability to initiate, cancel, or refund your subscription on your behalf; you must manage this through your Apple ID settings.

4. User Conduct & Prohibited Acts

You may not: (a) Attempt to reverse engineer the firewall decision engine; (b) Use Helmet to scrape or attack third-party websites; (c) Automate the threat intelligence requests for non-browser use; (d) Use our services to bypass legal restrictions in your jurisdiction.

5. Intellectual Property

Helmet, the Helmet logo, and the custom decision engine are trademarks of Rezolvnet Soluções em Informática Ltda. While Helmet is built on the open-source Chromium project, our proprietary firewall logic and UI elements are protected by international copyright laws.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

HELMET IS PROVIDED 'AS IS' WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DATA LOSS, HARDWARE DAMAGE, OR SECURITY BREACHES THAT MAY OCCUR DURING YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rezolvnet shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of Helmet. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the last 12 months.
